Bible Classes - Loving God with Our Heart and Mind
The study of God’s Word is much more than the accumulation of knowledge and information. It is a spiritual activity where God’s Word transforms us to becoming more like Jesus Christ.
We believe that the proper study of God’s Word leads us to deepen our relationship with Jesus, as well as with our family, friends, peers, neighbors and the world.
Two different tracks are available in Bible class for our High School students. The first incorporates a topically-driven, relationally-based curriculum which evolves around five central themes that are essential to the development and empowerment of healthy Christian living:
• Envisioning greatness
• Extending acceptance
• Practicing encouragement
• Managing conflict
• Experiencing forgiveness
The second option is a college prep religious studies class taught from a Christian perspective. This two-semester course provides students with a deep and formidable academic and spiritual journey through religious ideas, art, literature, and Scripture in an interactive format. Underclassmen study "Foundations of Christian Thought," while upperclassmen examine "Philosophy of Religion and Culture."
Teaching students to strengthen their
relationship with Christ and others through our relationally-based
curriculum…
“All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that
the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
