SVCS International Boarding Program

The Guardian-Driven Boarding Program at SVCS is designed to give the parent(s) full assurance and complete confidence of their child’s academic and social well being. We ensure quality and security in our Boarding Program by uniting the efforts of 3 primary control groups: Host Families, Teachers and Counselors.

Host families are responsible for providing a comfortable, safe and loving home. Governed by the Headmaster of the Boarding Program, each host family is scrutinized and supervised to ensure the needs of our students are met with personal care and attention.
Our teachers understand the estrangement and cultural barriers international students encounter while studying abroad. With a ratio of 5:1, our teachers assist the students with homework and assignments after school from 3:00pm-5:00pm, Mondays to Thursdays. In many cases, test preparation and review are also provided by our teachers.
Our counselors make themselves available for students who have any needs or special concerns they cannot address with a teacher or a host family. Once a month, our counselors escort the student to a field trip that is educational, and at times, just fun recreation. In addition, our students are mobilized to help serve the community through various programs.
