Since 2008, SVC has worked alongside of e3 Partners Ministry, sending workers into the harvest field. Each spring during Easter break, SVC students, faculty and staff travel with e3 to share the Good News of the Gospel across the globe.
This past spring, a group journeyed to Cuba. The Lord set up many divine appointments. According to Andreas Mehrguth, Director of e3 Legacy, 357 Cubans heard a personal presentation of God’s story from Creation to Christ, with 202 choosing to put their faith in Jesus. A total of 36 house churches were started and 148 new believers were trained to tell the Creation to Christ story with their families and friends.
Jamie MacIntosh, SVC Director of College & Career Guidance, was part of the contingent representing our school in Cuba. “It is always a privilege to partner with e3 Legacy in their commitment to building mission-minded generations while expanding God’s Kingdom. I love seeing our students and their families experiencing God in a truly incredible way. We felt so welcomed by the Cubans and are excited about all of our new brothers and sisters in Christ.”
Students who went on the trip shared about their experience during a High School chapel. They spoke of the many incredible things the Lord did during their time in Cuba, including healing people physically, emotionally and spiritually. One student summed it up this way: “If you empty yourself and go as an empty vessel, God will do amazing things through you.”
In addition to Cuba, SVC has sent teams with e3 to Kenya, Peru and Venezuela. Plans for the Easter 2018 are underway and will be announced when they are finalized.
