Standardized testing is an important part of the High School landscape as students prepare for their future college experiences.
The SAT and the ACT are admission tests accepted by all U.S. colleges. SVC is proud to offer both the PSAT and the PreACT. These practice exams allow students to determine which test will be a better fit for overall performance. In addition, they can provide an opportunity to earn merit-based scholarships for those students with high test scores and achievements. (For a comparison of the PSAT and PreACT, please click here.)
In addition, SVC offers Advanced Placement (AP) testing. AP tests are used to earn college credit, thus allowing students to graduate from college sooner (saving time and money) and/or allowing the exemption of some required courses in their major. And, for more competitive schools, AP tests can be used to distinguish between applicants in the selection process.
