Dear SVC Community,
We have some exciting news about the future of SVC and an amazing opportunity that God has placed in front of us! As you may or may not know, we have been pursuing plans to continue the ministry and mission of SVC in another location. In the process of this search, we were approached by The Bridge Church in Rancho Santa Margarita.
The campus of The Bridge currently houses Mission Hills Christian School, a Preschool – 8th grade program. Much like SVC, Mission Hills has a rich history and legacy of discipleship, Biblical instruction, academic excellence, and accessibility. It has been a pillar of the community for 40 years.
The leadership of all three organizations has had several meetings over the last couple of weeks and it seems as if God’s timing is aligning the needs of all three groups!
SVC has been praying for space and opportunity for our community to stay together under the banner of Christian education. Mission Hills has been praying for an influx of students. And, the Bridge has been praying that their campus would be a Christian outpost that would reach the RSM community. A thriving Christian school is a massive part of that vision.
We began exploring what it would be like for the three of us to all come together to start something new. SVC has amazing students and faculty and staff. Mission Hills has amazing students and faculty and staff. The Bridge has a facility that can house 500 students and a heart for Christian education. Those are the building blocks that will allow US to thrive for the next 40 years.
More than that, there are shared values between the three organizations. We are kindred cultures — emphasizing faith, love of families, academic excellence, and affordability. These are values that are central in all three organizations and it is why we know this is a great match.
So, we are announcing an alliance between all three organizations and the launch of “RSM Christian School” on the campus of The Bridge. It is our vision that this would be a Preschool – 8th grade school, with at least two classes per grade level and the wide array of programs that we know define excellence. This is a cultural fit and a missional fit. And we believe it fills a void we have in this part of our county with a solution that does not currently exist.
We are excited about the new journey we are about to embark upon. We hope you will join us on that journey!
“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)
