Scientific research has shown that performing cognitive exercises can strengthen areas of the brain that were previously weak, and by doing this, can assist in areas like critical thinking, problem solving, reading, writing, and emotional regulation. This summer, SVC is offering an 8-week braintraining and academic review program for students entering 2nd through 8th grades. Each day, students will be doing cognitive exercises designed to help improve learning capacities, and they will also spend time working on math and writing skills appropriate to each student’s abilities and grade level. The 8-week program will run 6/3 – 8/1 (no class 7/1 – 7/4), 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. We are offering 2-day, 3-day, and 4-day per week options. Space is limited, so be sure to register your student soon if you are interested.
