Paging Dr. Pelletier

While most students find the dissections in our High School Anatomy and Physiology class interesting, others are captivated by them. Paul Pelletier was one of those students. In fact, if you were to speak with any of his SVC science teachers, they would all give the same diagnosis:  Paul was destined to become a medical doctor.

After graduating from SVC in 2009, Paul attended University of California, Los Angeles. During his time at UCLA, he worked as an emergency medical technician (EMT) on campus which afforded him the opportunity to teach patient assessment labs to medical students. He also conducted cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) research for two years. And although his course of study was exceptionally demanding, Paul made his spiritual growth a priority. He was an active member of Campus Crusade for Christ and attended Reality Church in Hollywood. He also found time to serve others, tutoring inner-city Elementary school students through the Saturday Science Academy II.

Upon graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science and a minor in Political Science, Paul was accepted to medical school at Tufts University, Rush University, and Colorado University. He has since graduated from Anschulz Medical Campus of the Colorado University School of Medicine, and is currently in the first year of his Emergency Medicine Residency at Denver Health Hospital.

Paul credits family — both his immediate family and his SVC family — for much of his success. But more than anyone, he credits the Great Physician, the Lord Jesus Christ, to whom Paul gives all the glory!
